Since the monitoring zone involves a cross over section, for the purpose of standardizing the chainage of the prisms in theses location, all prism chainages would be based on the South Bound Tunnel. Fix reference prisms on each side to ensure good redundancy calculation and quality of processed data. The number of reference prism will depend on the site condition. For this particular site, fix reference prisms will be located at both ends of the tunnel (Raffles Place and Marina Bay MRT Station) as there is a monitoring site adjacent to the proposed site currently. As such, it is not adequate to provide fix reference prisms just outside the monitoring zone. The system for each end of the tunnel requires nine (9) fix reference prisms arranged in three (3) prisms per profile.
