Please read the details below on how your purchases at Kroger can help St. Benedict.

It involves one step that you will have to take one time, but you won’t believe what a difference it makes!

Please consider making SBA your Kroger Community Rewards school of choice. Thank you!

Do you shop at Kroger? Do you have a Kroger Plus card on your keychain? If so, you

can earn money for SBA every time you swipe your card! Simply register your Kroger Plus

card online today! The greater the participation, the more we earn, so ask everyone in

your family to sign up too!

If you will go to their website at Kroger.com, and create an account (it gives you the option

to enter your existing Plus card number), you can then:

Select “My Account” below “Welcome Back” once you have signed in.

Select “Community Rewards” at the bottom of the list.

Select “Edit Community Rewards Program Information”.

Enter your contact information (if requested).

Enter St. Benedict at Auburndale under “Find Your Organization”.

Select the check box next to St. Benedict at Auburndale.

Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom.

You can now see our school under your Community Rewards tab. Once you have

completed this process, a portion of every shopping trip you make using your Kroger Plus

card will now go to support St. Benedict High School.

We can earn UP TO $50,000 a quarter!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

NEWS FROM HOME AND SCHOOL

Please mark your calendars for a couple of important meetings coming up: November 8th at 8:00 those involved with the Annual Fashion Show. This is our first planning meeting. Please try to attend if possible. We’ll meet in the faculty dining hall. November 14th our next Home and School Meeting at 8:00, also in the faculty dining hall. This meeting should be able to be completed by 9:00.

We are still looking for help with our Annual Fashion Show coming up in February. Any businesses interested in

catering or donating items for our raffle baskets, please contact Romy Schaaf at [email protected] or by phone at

901.359.7821. As you are out shopping for the holidays, think of us and our baskets and pick up some extra gift

cards. You can send them in with your students to the attention of Annual Fashion show. Our first planning

meeting will be November 8th at 8:00. An email will be sent to those who have signed up to help. If you are

interested, please let Romy Schaaf or Lori Regis know.

Additional volunteer opportunities are open for sign up via signupgenius.com. See links below. In addition, we

have a call out for some the following volunteers needed:

• Father/Son Outing - We need 3 moms or dads to assist with preparation and during the event. These can be

junior or senior moms or dads. It would be nice it is just the guys and their dads. A great opportunity for junior

parents to volunteer and see what they have to look forward to next year. This event will be in the spring of 2013.

• Mother/Son Dinner - We need 4 junior moms to assist with set up the day of the event, help during the event and

clean up. This can be in shifts or the entire time. Event date is TBD, but set up is typically noon-2pm and the

event should last no more than 3 hours, with 30-40 min for clean up. Having the junior moms allows our senior

moms to spend time with their sons.

For both of these volunteer opportunities, please contact Nancy Wiley at:

EAGLE BUCKS YOU WON’T BELIEVE HOW IT ADDS UP!

The Eagle Bucks program lets you earn money for St. Benedict OR tuition credit for yourself while shopping! All you have to do is buy gift cards from us! With more than 50

gift cards to choose from including, Target, Starbucks, Walmart, Kroger, Old Navy, Outback, Chili’s, Bahama

Breeze and more, you are sure to find something for everyone in our selection. To place your order, fill out and

turn in an Eagle Bucks form. They are available at http://www.sbaeagles.org/eaglebucks

or in our main school office. You can designate the money to go to your Tuition Account, The SBA Annual Fund, or an SBA Organization. Orders are placed on a weekly basis and SBA receives a percentage of

the sale of the gift card. Last year, this program raised almost $50,000 for SBA and that was with minimal

participation. Can you imagine if we all took advantage of this? Especially with Christmas right around the corner!

Thank you so much for helping SBA!

The Scripps/Eagle Bucks Program raised over $50,000 for SBA last year. This makes a major difference in the programs we are able to offer our students.

Please consider purchasing your holiday gift cards from SBA.

Thank you for supporting the SBA Annual Fund.

Target REDcard SBA Annual Fund

Great News! We received a check from Target’s Take Charge of Education Program for $2,095.38. This is such a great and easy way to beef up our Annual Fund each year. We are thrilled with this gift, but out of curiosity, looked in on our school’s progress using Target’s user-friendly website. Guess what? We only have 79 Target credit cards out there that over a period of time have totaled over $20,000 in donations over the years. CAN YOU IMAGINE IF WE ALL DESIGNATED SBA ON OUR TARGET CARDS AS OUR SCHOOL OF CHOICE? Who doesn’t go to Target? We are getting settled into the new school year, and are kicking off our Annual Fund drive. If you have a quick second, there are a few scenarios below. What a GREAT way to give to the school, and after the initial sign up, it is effortless. Please consider this super-easy way for SBA to receive a percentage of the amount of each Target purchase you make with your card. If you do not have a Target REDcard, you can go to Target.com to download the application, or pick one up in the store. If you already have a Target REDcard, you can go to their website to designate Saint Benedict as your school of choice. It is easy to search for by city and state. To see the progress report on our school and how much we have received from the Take Charge of Education program, check back to Target.com periodically. You will be amazed at how it adds up! Thank you so much for supporting SBA!
