By Mirroring her own experience through various artistic disciplines she uses, exploring the present surrounding and it’s found objects she has produced a dynamic landscape of mix media drawings, installations and photographs. For her solo show titled, Roots and Threads, Borders and Pieces, she traces her transitory life from past to present, local to global, repaired, rehearsed and reshaped through running thread. There will be a special performance by Monali Meher, Golden Bend on the 8th September 2017, 18:00 at Herengracht 474 in Amsterdam. Meher reflects upon the historical and architectural transformations of the 17th century venue situated on the significant “Grachtengordel” (canal belt). By juxtaposing and moving through this building she will create a dialogue between it’s interior, exterior, the exhibitions and the present office of Manifesta HQ.
