Ans. In my opinion Mr. Herman had traits like intelligence, self confidence, determination, integrity and sociability.

He exhibits his intelligence when he prepares a different strategy by identifying the strategies adopted by different coaches of other teams.

He had lot of self confidence and determination as he trains the players with the same, to win the state championship,

He integrates all the black and white players together as one team.

Initially he was a hero for blacks in the city but gradually also liked by whites for his coaching which made team win, this proves he had sociability.

I would also rate Julius Campbell 7 on Scale of 1 to 10 where 1 being low and 10 being high because of the bond he forms with his fellow white captain that serves as inspiration to all team members. This displayes his emotional intelligence.

Ans: In my opinion his inherent style of leadership was directive and military style, which essentially involves extensive use of positional power. Boone, in order to sink into the new system initially uses positional power and he ultimately emerges as a transformational leader.
