2. FromJune 29, 1930ToApril 13, 2012 3. Dolores Del Rae Moskowitzbegan life in Montgomery, Alabama on June 29, 1930. Shewas the daughter of Henry Clinton Talley, II and Missie DelTrammell Talley. She was known as Sister to her siblingsHenry Clinton, II, Jacqueline Juliette and Favonia Faye.At an early age it was known that Dolores was not just anordinary person destined for ordinary things. She began tosing almost as soon as she began to speak. Her mothersaid, When Dolores went away with the church and welistened on the radio, I could hear her voice booming overthe others. I knew that it was Sister singing. 4. There is no way to completely tell of all the lives Dolorestouched. She was a school teacher, mentor and friend. Shewas the first African American female school patrol officerin Montgomery, Alabama. In the city of New York, she wasa supervisor for the Department of Human Services in theChild Abuse and Neglect Department. When the heartacheof seeing children in these sometimes excruciatinglymisfortunate situations got to be too much for her, sheresigned her position and followed her passion to serveothers in the world of music.Del Rae sang all over the world from Belgium, France,Mexico, Canada to home in the United States. She hasreceived many honors and tributes throughout the years, 5. including 5 Grammy nominations, in which Stevie Wonderwas a fellow nominee in one of the categories.Even through the excitement of entertaining, Del Rae,remained faithful to her family. She was a lifelongcompanion to Seymour L. Moskowitz and mother toRonald, Robert, Valerie and Bruce. She was dedicated toher family. Even during her recent and final battle, youcould hear her saying more than once, Ive got to staystrong for my children. I dont want them to see me weak.She was a fighter to the end. We miss you Mom.
