Wikispaces will provide an online collaboration environment that can be edited by members of the wiki.

This is a self-guided module with tutorials to learn about Wikispaces and how to use this tool for collaboration.

It is suggested that you use the tutorials for setting up your account and getting started.

To complete this module you will need a computer with Internet access and Microsoft PowerPoint software.

Who is Patsy Kraj?Who is Patsy Kraj?

Patsy Kraj is a biology teacher at Wheeler High School, in Marietta, Georgia. She will be completing an Ed.S. in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia in Fall 2011.

Mrs. Kraj has studied technology integration and desires to help teachers integrate technology into their curriculum.

Why Wikispaces?Why Wikispaces? Wikispaces has been chosen because

teachers need an asynchronous means of department collaboration.

Wikispaces will support the school wide collaboration initiative. Teachers will be planning collaborative units for the 2011-2012 school year.

Wikispaces will provide a transparent means of collaboration and maintain a portfolio for the collaborative units.

Teachers will be able to upload to a wiki.

Teachers will be able to edit a wiki.

Teachers will be able to invite other people to join their wiki.

Teachers will use Wikispaces to collaborate with other department members.

participating in and completing this in-service.

Teachers will have an asynchronous collaboration environment, which will give the teacher more control over their planning time.

2. Click on create a new account

3. Enter your email address and username

4. Go to http://trainingmodwiki.wikispaces.com

5. Click on Edit Practice on the toolbar

6. Click on the edit tab

7. Type a sentence or upload a file.

8. Click Save and see your edit to the wiki appear!

3. Enter your e-mail address
