• You are responsible for reading and being familiar with
all company policies • A few of the policies are summarized below • You may visit with Human Resources if you have any
questions

• If you will be absent from or late to work, you must call
and inform you supervisor by the earlier of – 30 minutes prior to your shift or start time, or – 8:00 a.m.
• You must do this every day that you are absent (no
“standing absence” excuses) • If requested, you must furnish a doctor’s note

• Being under the influence of alcohol while at Concote during work hours is strictly prohibited
• You may not take drugs or narcotics not otherwise prescribed by a doctor at any time during your employment with Concote, either in or outside of the workplace (on or off the job)
• You may be tested to detect drug or alcohol use

• Sexual harassment of any nature is prohibited by Concote, including unwelcome advances, jokes or remarks

• If you are injured while at Concote, you must report the injury immediately to a supervisor

• One of the most critical, basic skills that you must have at Concote is the ability to read a tape measure
• Reading a tape measure merely requires you to understand some basic fractions

• Most Standard Tape Measures divide an inch into 16ths
• Most Standard Tape Measures contain the 1/16” measurements along the top of the tape measure

• Some tape measures will break each inch into 32nds
• Note that the smallest vertical lines are 32nds, 16ths get larger, 8ths become larger, and so on . . .
• Usually, only the first 12” of a tape measure show 32nds

• Many of our Raw Materials and Finished Products are in widths and thicknesses that you must be able to recognize
• You should be able to understand the relative size of the fraction (for example, 1/8” is larger than 1/16”)
• You should also be able to quickly recognize the decimal equivalent (for example, 1/2” = .5”)
