Swiss plating precisionSTS’s technology brings Swiss precision to electro-plating. It yields excellent plating distribution and consistent quality to guarantee your surfaces with enhanced protection, functionality or appearance.
STS’s know-how in precision electroplating extends to the treatment of small parts. STS pioneered and now commercializes VIBARREL® small parts precision technology. VIBARREL® has been demonstrated to ensure plating accuracy even for the most minute and delicate parts.
VIBARREL® VIBARREL® vibrating baskets are made with a cylindrical enclosure connected to an oscillating unit. Rotating movements around a vertical axis enable uniform surface plating results.
Frequency and amplitude of the oscillation can be set inde-pendently from each other. The complete unit can be transpor-ted from bath to bath, like in a conventional plating line.
Several basket dimensions are available in function of need and capacity. Diameters from 90 to 500 mm are standard.
Vibrating basket create a rotating movement around a vertical axis and allow for uniform plating result of the smallest parts. VIBARREL® yields:
• Perfect pre-treatment, particularly for buried vias
• Excellent distribution and deposition uniformity
• No deformation or degradation

Bath transfer principle Products are transported into an active bath. After a determined immersion time, they are transferred into a flexible rinsing bath. Rinsing water from the 3rd cascade tank (approx 30 - 45 sec) at the lower level (less clean water) is pumped up into the rinsing bath. Once the pre-set rinsing time is achieved, the water flows back down to the tank. The process repeats itself using clean water (2nd rinsing cascade) and ends with very clean water (1st rinsing cascade). The products are clean and are ready to be transported to the next active bath. Additional spray rinse can be installed on top of the flexible rinsing bath, allowing for extra flexibility.
