Film’s information
1. Inside the History of Industry, when do you
think the action of the film happens?
The Industrial Revolution
2. How is the factory organized? What elements
of the industrial process can you see?
It is organized hierarchically, first there’s a
boss that commands the rest of the workers.
The workers work specifically in something,
and there’s a boss for that specific work. Then
the management is the ones that provides
and tests new products.
We can see the raw material, the technology,
the management and the workface.
Questions
3. Describe the work in the factory? Is there division of
labour?
The product passes through all the people who work
there; each group of workers giving the product a
different treatment to make the final product.
There’s division of labour:
-Technical division of labour: Because there were
different types of specific works.
-Social division of labour: Because there were works
more important than the others.
4. What differences can you notice between working
during these times and working today?
There aren’t a lot of differences, but maybe one of them
is that now we have more machines that make the
work; therefore we have unemployment.
5. Give your opinion about the film. Did you like it?
I was interesting and funny, it shows how a factory
works without making it a boring documentary. I
liked it.
