    SECTION-AQ .l Critically evaluate the following statements in about 200 words each:

    (a) "If the battle of Plassey had made the English a pow erful factor in the

    politics of Bengal, the victory of Buxar made them a great power of India".(B) Trained by us to happiness and independence, and endowed with our

    learning and political institutions, India will remain the proudest monument

    o fBritish benevolence.
