Fixed Issues These issues found in previous versions of Mocha for After Effects have been resolved. Issue: Crashing during tracking Platform: All Component Affected: Tracker Bug Description: There is an issue concerned with memory build up, the

memory build up causes the application to crash at random intervals.

Issue: Missing layers when re-opening a project Platform: All Component Affected: Save Bug Description: Memory build-up causes the application to truncate a saved

file, causing the user to lose information. Issue: Crash when deleting layers Platform: All Component Affected: Curve Editor Bug Description: Various crash conditions in the Curve Editor when deleting

layers from anywhere in the software. Issue: Registration dialogue appears too frequently Platform: All Component Affected: Registration Bug Description: The registration dialogue appeared every time the software

was started if the user chose “Register Later”. Now the dialogue will only appear every 14 days.

Issue: Clipboard copy to After Effects inconsistent on Mac Platform: Mac Component Affected: Tracking Export Bug Description: When tracking data from Mocha was copied to the clipboard,

it could not be pasted into After Effects, even though it could be pasted into TextEdit.

Issue: Pixel aspect ratios do not match After Effects CS4 Platform: All Component Affected: Clip Bug Description: CS4 introduced new aspect ratios for standard video types. Issue: Tracking scale option not available Platform: All Component Affected: Tracker Bug Description: The “Scale” checkbox was not visible on the track page. Issue: No alpha channel on Mocha document icon Platform: Mac Component Affected: Help Bug Description: The background of the Mocha document icon appeared white

rather than transparent. Issue: Overlapping soft edges not rendered correctly Platform: All Component Affected: Layer Bug Description: Overlapping edges of shapes produced a dark area. Issue: Errors working with accented or non-Latin characters Platform: Mac Component Affected: All Bug Description: The user was unable to open files or projects containing non-

Latin characters, e.g. Japanese, or accented Latin characters. This issue is resolved on Mac OS X 10.5 only.

Issue: Corner Pin data doesn’t work in non-English After Effects Platform: All Component Affected: Tracking Export Bug Description: Users of localised non-English versions of After Effects could

not paste the corner pin data into After Effects, because the keyframe data is localised.

Known Issues These issues remain in this version of Mocha for After Effects. Issue: Errors working with accented or non-Latin characters Platform: Windows, Mac OS X 10.4 Component Affected: All Bug Description: The user is unable to open files or projects containing non-

Issue: Incomplete range of supported project files displayed in File | Open dialogue

Platform: All Component Affected: Open Project Bug Description: The dialogue shows “Mocha and Mocha Projects” should read

“Mocha and Motor Projects”. Issue: After Effects CS4-compatible pixel aspect ratios are not chosen

by default Platform: All Component Affected: Clip, Tracking Export Bug Description: CS4 introduces new pixel aspect ratios for common video

formats. Compatible ratios are available in Mocha, but are not selected by default. Check the settings in Clip | Film to ensure you are using a pixel aspect ratio that matches your After Effects composition.

Issue: Incorrect colours when using v210 QuickTime codecs such as Apple Uncompressed 4:2:2 10-bit

Platform: All Component Affected: Import Bug Description: Some systems working with 4:2:2 10-bit video will find that

the colours appear incorrect in Mocha; typically video will look very noisy. This bug affects a significant number of systems but not all. If your system exhibits this problem, the current workaround is to render an 8-bit version of the clip for tracking. You can still apply the tracking keyframes to the 10-bit clip in After Effects as normal.

Issue: Default frame number offset is 1, which does not match After Effects

Platform: All Component Affected: Clip, Import Bug Description: The default frame number offset in Mocha is 1, whereas in

After Effects it is 0. If you frequently need to jump to frame numbers in Mocha that match the frame numbers in After Effects, you may wish to set the default frame offset to 0. This setting is in Preferences | Default Clip Settings. You can also change this setting on a per-clip basis on the Clip page or in the New Project Wizard.
