COOKiT, a new tool developed within the Do Change project

The Do Change project is designed to improve patient health and well-being through an mHealth management ecosystem enabling the real time monitoring of their physiological conditions.

The eHealth technology developed through this project enable the monitoring of patients’ eating habits, behaviour, and health through portable devices and

The COOKiT tool is an intelligent spatula that provides information about salinity of everyday food. It can easily be implemented in daily cooking and dining routines.

This tool uses conductivity sensors to determine the salinity of food and a load sensor to determine the weight of the food that’s been served.

While cooking the Chef see’s the implications of adding new ingredients and can learn alternative options.

Skintemp is an innovative system that makes it possible

to measure a fever in only one second.

• SkinTemp and Eurecat have designed an adhesive bandage that enables monitoring the entire progress of a fever with a mobile device in just one second.

• The bandage is conceived as an alternative to traditional thermometers to measure a fever in a more comfortable, fast and reliable way.

• SkinTemp has patented its solution thanks to the use of printable electronics provided by Eurecat. In the future, it may develop new versions that will enable the measurement of indicators such as glucose, heart rate and blood pressure.

• The innovative system uses NFC technology to establish communication between the adhesive and the mobile device, which processes the information using an app and provides the option to display the data in graphic form or as a table.

Technological innovation developed by Eurecat and Telehealth Devices

• Eurecat and Telehealth Devices have developed an innovative device that makes it possible to produce ECG 4D and 12D recordings in less than 2 minutes.

• The system consists of iCardio hardware and an app for mobile devices.

• iCardio transmits the images and recordings via Bluetooth to the app installed on the Smartphone or

Tablet, which connects automatically to a specialised diagnostic centre. This issues an ECG report in real time, with full medical guarantee.

• A comprehensive telemedicine system for the control and detection of cardiac alterations, using electrocardiograms with immediate diagnostic capacity.

Eurecat designs and implements ICT-based tools for medical professionals and end users/patients for the diagnosis, planning and monitoring of therapeutic progress and to assist patients in improving their quality of life.

Eurecat has developed a mobile health application connected to a back-end service that supports adherence to complex pharmacological treatments for patients and professionals. This application facilitates communication between the patient and healthcare professionals through a safe and private environment.

The BELIEVE project aims to integrate Blockchain technology into an existing electronic voting system in order to increase its security.

This system will publish the electoral audit evidence by telematic means, in a distributed, open and secure manner.

The use of Blockchain technology in the pork meat industry allows consumers to consult the origin and quality of the meat they consume.

The various players in the industry will record information about the animals, the life they have, what they do with the meat, etc., without any other player being able to modify it due to a personal interest.

Big Data CoE Barcelona is a centre driven by Eurecat, the Government of Catalonia, the Barcelona City Council and Oracle which builds, develops and provides tools, data sets and value-added Big Data capabilities to enable companies to define, test and validate Big Data models before their final implementation.

Kontexting is a Eurecat’s solution oriented primarily to the retail and tourism sectors. The system integrates the entire contextual integration of a user (from different devices and sources of internal and external information) in order to improve the commercial proposals addressed to him. The innovative solution is based on the Internet of Things and has been deployed by integrating different technologies of Big Data, real-time data processing, predictive analytics and artificial intelligence (Deep Learning).
