Next, Add your business location. Type your business name and post code/zip code.
This picks up information from Google’s Business Listings. Choose the most relevant listing.
Next, Connect your Google Business Account and/or Facebook Business Page. You can connect later
with Yelp if you choose.

Next, Customise the Survey. You can edit the Location name. If you upload your logo, it will replace
the location name. You can edit the Text message now or later. {link} must be in the message,
otherwise your customers will not be able to click through to your feedback page .
Send Test Text Message to mobile/cell phone.
Please enter the customer cell number with the country code. Often, the leading number of the cell phone is 0, then the zero needs to be dropped. For Australian business calling Australian customers Mobile needs to be entered into the portal like:

For NZ businesses 64 drop the zero, then the number For USA businesses 1 drop the zero, then the number For UK businesses 44 drop the zero, then the number

Next, Add any employees. They will need their own email address.
Enter your target for how many reviews you want monthly and lifetime value of your customer.
These values can be adjusted later.
Next, Invite Friends by sharing. If a business you invite signs up for free trial, you’ll get an extra 25
SMS messages loaded into your account!
Click Finished: Take me to my dashboard.

Reviews – Provides a snapshot of your Reputation and reviews being left. Also show who has
been sent a request and who has clicked and left a review.
Analytics – Provides you with information and averages.
SMS Broadcast – You can see a history of SMS’s sent to customers
Contacts – Another area to look at customers and their status
Employees – This is where you can add employees. Includes a leaderboard for healthy
competition.

Settings – Review Invite
Review Invite Type:
Whichever one you select will become the default.
1. Simple Yes or No
2. Star Rating (1-5 Stars)
3. NPS Rating (1-10)

You can change the order on the review page. You can turn off or on review pages, add other review
sites. For example, if you need more Goolge reviews you can disable all other review sites
temporarily so your customers only have one choice, however be mindful this may reduce total
reviews because the customer may not have a Google account. Also, too many options and
customer will not make any choice!
Select the threshold limits. EG for Star Rating, if customer selects 3 stars or below, will be sent to a
default thank you page. If 4 or 5 stars, then they are redirected to your review site to leave a review.
Review invite goal: this may be changed. Over time the system will let you know how many SMS
messages you need to send to reach your target.
Click Save.

SMS Message
SMS Message
The default content of the SMS message. This can be customized when sending the SMS. {location-
name} will be the name of the location sending the SMS, {name} will be replaced with the name
entered when sending the message and {link} will be the link to the review.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE SEE ADDENDUM ABOUT MESSAGE CHARACTER LENGTH
– It is advised to shorten the default message to keep it under 160
characters.
Message Tries
The number of times an SMS message can be sent (up to three times) until a customer leaves
feedback.
Message Frequency (in hours)
The number of hours until another message should be sent. (Only used when the "Message Tries"
field is greater than one.)
Example; Sometimes customer cannot leave feedback right away. You will increase your conversions
if you set a second message try after 24 or 48 hours. (it will only send second SMS if customer does
not leave feedback). You can send up to 3 message tries.

Notifications The employees who get notified of feedback and new reviews. Turn OFF/ON as required.
Click Save
USERS This is where you can create Users/Employees into your account.
The “Link” Button is their unique location where SMS requests are made to customers.
You can click the pencil icon to edit the individual settings and change password.
Subscriptions This is where you can see which plan is currently active. You can add your Card details and select
how many locations you require and how many SMS messages you need.
Please note; unused SMS messages in the free Trial do not roll-over into the next month.

TIPS
Create a Shortcut on your Computer Desktop and Mobile Phone for the login screen
(http://ibuildreviews.com/login) and/or the actual feedback request link.
Go to:
USERS, click “Link” to open the SMS request
Copy the link address from the opened window.
Paste the link address into a new browser window. From there you can add a bookmark.
You can also email the link to yourself, open on your mobile’s phones browser and “Add to
Homescreen”

Use the magic words: “It would really help us out if you could leave a review on our Google Page“ If customer asks how, say something like “It’s easy, I’ll send you a link”.

Quick Case Study
An electrician client is successfully building his reviews by making sure customer is satisfied
with his service. He then asks the question at the end of his visit.
He will then SMS his customer while he is still there, so if he needs to walk them through it,
he can.
You will get a better response if you ask your customer before sending them the SMS, that
way they are expecting it and are more likely to leave you a review, because they already
told you that they would.
If you have a database of old customers, or repeat customers, next time you speak with
them, ASK and you will get.

ADDENDUM
IMPORTANT NOTE: SMS Message Character limit The SMS message system will auto segment messages with more than 160 characters (with
spaces). Meaning; messages with more than 160 characters will use 1 extra credit for every
160 characters used.
Reply stop to be removed The system automatically puts this text at end of the message, no need to
write it in, however it does count towards the total character count.

The text in the message above is 155 characters.
{link} when converted to the actual link is 21 characters.
{name} of your customer might be longer than 6 characters.
{location-name}, or your business name might also be longer than 15 characters.

If we use the default example it is likely to go over the 160 character threshold and use 2 SMS credits
per message being sent.

The total character count for the above message is 170 characters. Considering the customers name
is 6 characters (which is variable) and your business name might be more than 15.
To make sure you are using only 1 credit, you should make your message shorter.
