ISSUES IN MOBILE IP

Moving from one subnet to another is Handoff.

There is packet loss and delay during mobile host’s handover from one subnet to another.

Conclusion

Built a scenario in opnet modeler to simulate handover in Mobile IP

During handover in mobile networks there is packet loss due to handover issues.

Mobile IPv6 performs better than Mobile IPv4 in terms of delay, throughput, packet drop, etc.
