(For Councillors and Staff)
Using WebDAV
2
Overview
All Councillors have Apple iPads (and iPhones)
Council documents are distributed to Councillors electronically using WebDAV.
Councillors download documents using Readdledocs and/or iAnnotate
Both apps store local versions of the docs on the iPad
It’s reliable, easy, quick and the accepted way
3
What is WebDAV?
Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning
Many modern operating systems provide built in support for WebDAV
WebDAV gives you a private cloud with full Windows security

Security
Each iPad user must have a domain login
In the iPad app, the external URL and domain login is required
Back at the office… on the network share, create user folders and add authorised users drag and drop content into the user-folders
Apps behave differently. Some hide, others grey-out, unauthorised users
