The client is a leading service provider of wireless communication, and has the largest nationwide wireless voice and data network in the US market with 40 million customers and more than $71 billion in annual revenues.
About the Client
The Solution Client engaged Hexaware to conceptualize and provide a testing strategy to address their business challenges:• Hexaware kick-started the engagement by evaluating different mobile test automation tools and frameworks to expedite the release testing. A recommendation and a strategy to implement the frameworks was provided(See the Test and Eclipse Integrated Mobile Testing Solution)• Created a hybrid framework (SeeTest and Eclipse Integrated Mobile Testing Solution) to support the test automation implementation in an efficient and maintainable structure, inducing reusability across test scripts (of common business components)• Conducted automated testing to validate data-driven functional behavior of the application.
• Created a reusable regression suite of test scenarios to be utilized across future test cycles during upgrade and maintenance releases• Proposed an idea to develop a MATS tool for executing the test script in a batch and to track the execution result in an effective manner• Developed automation scripts for prototype device (not launched in the market)• 32 applications, 1000 test cases supporting five devices (LG G2, G3, Samsung S5, Proto Device and HTC –M8)were delivered• Successful completion of ISIS POC (VZW Pilot project, 3 Devices, 7 Scripts).• Created a road map to automate 1000 test cases for 13 devices
The NeedOver 32 enterprises and consumer- based social mobile applications covering more than 1,000 manual test cases had to be tested on multiple devices, which are yet to be released in the market. The mobileapplications were quite challenging to maintain because of the constant growth (more features were added) and repetitive new builds. Execution of the manual test cases was time consuming. The clienthad to find a way to reduce the testing time, increase the amount of test cases, and improve the system overall quality without introducing an additional testing time.
