Mobi Control Self-Registration Job Aid

This job aid will assist you with enrolling in Mobi Control. The Mobi Control application allows you to install the latest DIRECTV work order application, FSTP (Field Services Tech Passport). For issues with enrolling in Mobi Control or basic FSTP support, such as installing FSTP or logging into FSTP, contact your Help Desk. If you experience any other issues, please contact your designated DIRECTV Site contact for assistance.

Device Selection

Certified Devices: FSTP has been tested and certified on the following Android devices: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – Android 5.0 to 5.1.1 Samsung Galaxy Note 5 – Android 5.0 to 5.1.1 Recommended Devices: Samsung Galaxy S5 – S7 with minimum Android OS 5.0 Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S-Pen Tablet with minimum Android OS 5.0 LG G Pad F8.0 Tablet with minimum Android OS 5.0 HTC M8 with minimum Android OS 5.0 Not Recommended Devices: ASUS Memo Pad 7 LG G3 These are minimum requirements needed to run FSTP should you choose a non-certified device or recommended device.

Removing FSDS/Mobi Control

Before receiving the new FSTP application, you will first need to uninstall FSDS and the current version of Mobi Control installed on your handheld. The steps outlined below will assist you with removing the FSTP application as well as the Mobi Control application. Note: The screen shots will vary based on the device and Android OS you are currently using.

2. Press and hold Enrollment Status and then select OK to unenroll

1. Open the Google Play Store and search for “Soti Mobi Control”. Depending on your device you

will need to install one of the following versions of the Mobi Control application: MobiControl Samsung Agent – For all Samsung devices

MobiControl LG Agent – For all LG devices

MobiControl Android Agent – For all other Android devices

4. Once the device has enrolled, select Device Admin Policy from the Pending Actions screen and

then select Activate

Note: Samsung and LG devices continue to step 5. All other Android devices move to step 7.

5. From the Pending Actions screen, select License Activation Pending. Check the box to

acknowledge the Privacy Policy and select Confirm.

6. Within 15 minutes the FSTP application will install after confirming the Privacy Policy and you

will be able to log in.

7. For all non-Samsung or LG devices, after activating the device administrator select the Menu option in the upper left hand corner of the screen in the Mobi Control application. Then select Application Catalog

Note: You may need to allow installation from Unknown Sources in order to install the FSTP Application. If so, select Settings if prompted and then put a check in Unknown Sources.

Installing the Latest Version of FSTP

For all Samsung or LG devices, updated FSTP versions of the application will automatically install on

your handheld. All non-Samsung or LG devices will need to follow these steps to update the application.

1. Open the Mobi Control application. Select the Menu option in the upper left hand corner of the screen in the Mobi Control application. Then select Application Catalog

2. Select the In-House tab and select Upgrade to begin the installation of FSTP. Note: You may need to allow installation from Unknown Sources in order to install the FSTP Application. If so, select Settings if prompted and then put a check in Unknown Sources.
