THE POWER OF THE MMRF It usually takes 10 years to develop one new cancer-fighting drug. The MMRF has helped deliver seven new life-saving drugs in less than 12 years and there are currently more in the pipeline. We have helped reinvent the cancer research system by developing a unique model that demands collaboration and shares research findings worldwide. The result is an unparalleled track record. We have helped triple the life expectancy of myeloma patients. With the most respected research and medical industry partners, we have fueled more studies, initiated more trials, developed more treatments, introduced more medicines, and had a far greater impact than any other cancer-fighting organization. Since 2001, this family friendly 5K walk/run program has raised both awareness and funds for the MMRF. Today, the series is held annually in nine cities and participation offers camaraderie and knowledge sharing for patients, patient family members and friends, members of the cancer community, and others. TEAM UP WITH THE MMRF Whether you are participating in a 5K Walk/Run, running a marathon, scaling walls and overcoming obstacles at a Spartan race or taking on IRONMAN®, the MMRF provides a way to tap into the best of corporate values: goal setting, determination, tenacity, resilience, collaboration, and the drive for success. The MMRF training plans and fundraising support will help you arrive at race day feeling prepared. Whether you are in it to win, or are just trying to cross the finish line, athletes of all abilities will come away from the Team for Cures experience empowered. This is bigger than any one race. We are teaming up to cure cancer NOW.
