Support towards Cataract surgeries at Jharkhand4th December 2018

Responded to an appeal made by the Nav Bharat Jagruti Kendra at Jharkhand to provide

free cataract surgeries to 100 geriatrics for this financial year. As on date 30 cases have

been operated.

Indywood Award at Hyderabad 3rd December 2018

Awarded the Indywood CSR Excellence Award

received for Excellence in Healthcare at

Hyderabad on 3rd December 2018. On behalf of

the organization Mr. Anurag Dipankar and Mr.

Gautam Katta received the same.

Vaccination drive at MMV, Ratnagiri4th December 2018

Support to Ms. Dhanashree Mahadik a 16 year old

for her participation in weightlifting with Rs 1 Lac

as a financial assistance in the Asian classic

powerlifting competition to be held in Mongolia.

Provision of Prosthetics to Omkar

Mast. Omkar a physically handicapped student

from Apang Sanstha Nigdi was a star performer

at our recent fundraiser which was on 28th

October. He is a physically handicapped child

however, he cheered the group by dancing to

the news to famous Bollywood number. Part of

the amount raised at the fundraiser was used to

provide prosthetics.

Solapur Water conservation – Medha Taluka10th December 2018

Coconut breaking ceremony of Water Conservation work- Solapur District Finolex

Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation sponsored 4.5km of 2nd phase of Bendh Nala

Rejuvenation work with the Madha Welfare foundation, NAAM foundation and ZP s

Sholapur. This support will help resolve the water scarcity and shortages in 32 villages

which is home to 22,000 individuals. Guardian Minister Mr. Vijaykumar Deshmukh MLA Mr.

Babanrao Shinde Mr. Makarand Anaspure of NAAM foundation. CEO of ZP Solalapur Mr.

Rajendra Bharud and Managing trustee of Mukul Madhav Foundation Mrs. Ritu Prakash

Chhabria were present for the ceremony.

Support towards fundraising event - Delhi7th December 2018

Ms. Menaka Gandhi who is the chairperson for People For Animals (PFA), India's largest animal welfare organization approached to fund for their annual fundraising event which we responded to.

Kitchen platform inauguration – Ratnagiri8th December 2018

Kitchen platform inaugurated on 8th December at ZP School at Shirbadwadi to provide clean same was inaugurated on 8th December 2018 in the presence of School committee members, teaches, Grampanchayat members, villagers and students.

School Health Camp – Kokrud, Pali, Umbraj, Khandala and Chincholi10th to 14th December 2018

Number of Children screened – 2845

Children who need assistance – 482

The children were tested for dental, eye, audiology and speech and other general issues by a team

of doctors from Sassoon General Hospital, KEM Hospital, Bharti Hospital and H V Desai Hospital .

Hygiene hampers comprising of toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, biscuits and a juice pack were also

distributed to all the children at the camps.

2018 Smile Children Film Festival – Delhi10th to 14th December

A Film Festival for Children and Youth is organized by Smile Foundation at New Delhi between

10th to 14th December 2018 where in FIL / MMF supported the event by their donation.

Expedition of Ms. Arunima, Indias first female amputee to climb Mount Everest12th December 2008

Sponsored the expedition trip to a differently abled girl scale mount Vinson in Antartica which

will begin from 18th December and culminate after 25 days.

Neurophysiotherapuy Camp and ASHA training Ratnagiri15th and 16th December 2018

Informative session about awareness and identification of CP patients for 26 ASHA workers

from 2 PHCs (Hathkambha and Kotawade) was conducted at Finolex Colony by Dr. Saloni Raje.

Alongside regular camp was conducted where 43 patients were provided therapy.

Brahma Samaj Ahmedabad Inter School Competition, Masar16th December 2018

Brahma Samaj, Ahmedabad organised an inter school cultural competition today. Students

from 37 schools in Ahmedabad participated in Singing, Dance, Poetry and Elocution

competitions.

FIL/MMF sponsored the Dance Competition.

Sports Meet, MMV, Ratnagiri12th to 15th December 2018

Annual Sports meet was conducted where students participated in running race, dodge

ball, kho-kho and kabaddi.

Visit of Mr. Chakra (Max-Muller Bhavan), Pune17th December 2018

Mr. Chakra of Max-Muller Bhavan visited MMV to conduct special sessions in German for

students and teachers.

2. Intraschool Karate Competition – MMV Ratnangiri20th December 2018

Intraschool Karate competition was conducted by Mr. Mirkar and his assistants with

participation of 38 students.

Inauguration of Toilets and Solar Pump at Vadavli, Palghar21st December 2018

1. 50 individual toilets equipped with solar lights to 50 beneficiaries. A mug and bucket was

also provided.

2. A solar pump for drinking water provided to the villagers. Women folk are glad that they

need not go long distances to fetch water.

3. Shri. Suresh Mengde, IPS Kokan region was the Chief Guest along with others from

different authorities.

4. Rs. 2000/-collected per household which is donated to Sainik Welfare Board.

Health Camp – Saksham, Alandi22nd December 2018

Free health camp was organized for Swami Vivekanand Bahuddeshiya Sevabhavi Sanstha’s children. 70 children were screened for dental, ENT and General Pediatric issues. Doctor teams from Sassoon General Hospital, Pune and H V Desai, Pune performed these tests.

Each student was provided a gift hamper which consists of biscuits, toothbrush, toothpaste,

and med-mix soap

Monthly Diabetic Camp at KEM hospital – Pune 22nd December 2018

10 patients underwent routine blood

tests and 4 patients were distributed

insulin.

Jet Toy Challenge – Chandigarh23rd December 2018

4 students from Mukul

Madhav Vidyalaya, Ratnagiri

participated in the Jet Toy

Challenge organized by

Mahindra and Mahindra at

Chandigarh and reached the national level.

Ist Audiometry Camp

Audiometry camps was conducted at Wai and Satara on 23rd and 26th December 2018

respectively responding to the appeal made by the Education Department of Satara. A total

of 248 students were screened.

A session on Carreer options after commerce was

conducted for 10th and 12th standard students at MMP

Samplawala High School by Mr. Vinay Patel (Commercial

Geriatric Camp- Helwak, Taluka Patan29th December 2018

Geriatric camp was organized at Helwak where 135 elders were screened for ENT, eyes,

Ortho, dental and other general concerns with the medical team form Sancheti Hospital,

Bharathi Hospital, H V Desai Hospital and Sassoon General Hospital.

SAHELI Samelan(Get-to-gether)

Saheli, is an organization who works for the welfare of women sex workers. On the occasion

of their 20th anniversary FIL / MMF was invited being one of their donors. We support 40

HIV infected mothers with monthly grocery and milk to 18 children of these mothers.

Success Story

Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) and Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) set up the

Endoscopy Department at Sassoon General Hospital, Pune (SGH) by providing

state-of-the-art equipment’s in March 2018. Procedures are available at nominal cost to

patients undergoing the same. As on date 1164 patients have availed the services at the

Endoscopy department.

SGH and B J Medical College is the first Medical College in Maharashtra to have

performed the PEOM procedure (to cut the food pipe to remove Achalasia cardia

disorder) under the hands of Dr. Nachiket and his team. The cost of this procedure in

private hospitals is upto Rs. 2 lakh where as it is Rs. 1100/- at SGH.

By providing these high end facilities available to common man, FIL and MMF continues

to upgrade uplift hospitals.
