IN-CLASS LAB TIME STRUCTURE We move in steps as a class through projects; the course is structured to give students plenty of in-class time to complete this work – IF and only IF – they come to class and focus on the task at hand! We simply cannot hold the class up because people are absent and/or not using their time wisely Everything students need to know to complete the project will be on Blackboard but they will miss out on all the in-class help and instruction for days they miss Everyone is held to the same standard whether they are present in class or not

IN-CLASS LAB TIME STRUCTUREStudent attendance is both assumed and crucial to their successBENCHMARK GRADE credit is only granted during IN-CLASS LAB TIMEFINAL AUDIO PROJECTS due dates (completed and posted on blog) is TBDNO LATE WORK ACCEPTED – I will adjust the due date for everyone if – and only if – I determine that in-class lab time was not sufficient

Page 3: MMJ-Audacity Step #1; Removing Questions

REALITY CHECKThe projects that depend on in-class lab time are a full 50% of students’ final grades and, from now on, the bulk of what we do is in-class lab work on projects requiring students to come to class and focus on the task at handIf students don’t come to class, they will fall behind and there is no extra credit or late work acceptedThe material simply can’t be retaught because individual students are not here; the class is structured as in-person onlyStudents have until 3/27 to officially withdraw from a class
