The conference will showcase the latest in technological and pharmacy practice innovations. inspirational speakers will remind you of the power an individual has when they follow their passion and make their move. You will have opportunities to connect and network with likeminded colleagues and you will be challenged to get even more deeply involved with the profession for the good of your patients, colleagues and the broader health system.

The presentation of innovative pharmacy research is the cornerstone of ShPA conferences. The contributed paper sessions and posters provide the opportunity for researchers to share their important findings, showcase recent advances and updates in hospital pharmacy practice and to encourage collaboration and information sharing within the profession.

We invite you to Make Your Move to the beautiful hobart waterfront to be part of this key annual ShPA Continuing Professional Development event.

Host City About Hobarthobart is Australia’s smallest and most historic capital, in Australia’s only island state.

Salamanca Place is a short walk from the conference hotels, and here you will find 19th century waterfront warehouses, dating back to the whaling days of the early 1800s. Today, they house cafes, restaurants, galleries and art studios, and are an ideal place to wander or enjoy alfresco dining.

Salamanca Markets are open every Saturday morning, arguably Australia’s best outdoor markets, where you can actually meet the people who make, create or grow what they sell.

In and Around Hobartif you have time:

Port Arthur, formerly a convict site, is a compelling and dramatic •

reminder of our convict past

Cadbury’s chocolate factory is a must-visit for chocoholics•

Mount Wellington is just 20 minutes from the city centre—from •

its peak you can enjoy panoramic views over hobart, Bruny island, South Arm and the Tasman Peninsula.

Tasmania is a heart-shaped island of lush green valleys, uncrowded towns and villages and still undeveloped coastlines. it is one of the world’s most mountainous islands. About 40 per cent of Tasmania is protected within national parks and reserves, and you’ll be surprised how easy it is to experience the wilderness.

Food and WineTasmania is a gourmet paradise, where people live close to the land and sea and there is a natural flow from paddock to plate. four distinct seasons make it perfect for producing prime cheeses, mouth-watering berries, wide-ranging vegetables, stone fruits, herbs, premium beef, specialty honey, mushrooms, cool-climate wines and some of Australia’s leading boutique and production beers. Enjoy regional fare, friendly encounters with growers, makers and chefs, and celebrate the delights that come with the changing of the seasons.

WeatherSpring in hobart is between September to November, and although there is more likelihood of rainy weather in hobart at this time of the year, the skies are usually quick to clear. hobart is actually known for being one of the driest capital cities in the whole of Australia.

The average daytime temperatures in November is 18˚ Celsius.
