Set up custom export for Flex MLS

Log in to your MLS. Once logged in, click on the Preferences menu towards the middle of the page and select My Exports.

On the My Exports screen, click the New button.

On the Export template screen, set the Export Name as “CFMLS.”Under Show Group Name, select “Detail group names do not show in front of the detail name.”Under Property Types, select both “Residential” and “Condominiums.”Click Next.

To utilize the ClickFORMS MLS Service with this MLS, you must first setup your MLS account to export in the correct format. Once you’ve created a customized export format, you can then export your searches.

You will now be directed to the Choose fields for Export Template page. To finish setting up the export, you’ll need to locate the appropriate field within the Available Fields column and add them to the Template Layout column. When finished, click Next.

Once you’ve clicked Next, you will be taken back to the My Exports screen. There is no further configuration needed. You can now run a search and follow the Export Instructions. Proceed to Saving Your Search Results, below.

At the Export Screen, select Custom Text Export, then select “CFMLS“.

At the bottom of the export screen enter the security verification text, then click Export.

Run a search of a market you’d like to analyze. You can include all records (Active, Sold, Pending, Expired, Withdrawn, cancelled) in your search if desired. To ensure you capture all relevant records, you should use all records with a list date within 24 months or all records that closed within the past 12 months — whichever works best for you. When your search results appear, click Export.

A new page will appear that will prompt you to open or save your search. Click Save in the file download window and your computer will open a Save As window.

At this point you need to choose what you’d like to name the file and where you’d like to save it. Be sure to create a meaningful file name and save to a memorable location (such as your Desktop).Once the download is complete, click Close.You can now load the file into ClickFORMS Application.
