Nobody could have ever imagined that the most famous Melies film still existed with colors. Yet the Barcelona Archive unearthed a miraculous color print in 1993, in terrible condition. Lobster Films, Groupama Gan Foundation for Cinema and Technicolor Foundation for Cinema Heritage conducted in 2010 a complete restoration. The most ambitious restoration in the History of cinema for some of the most famous images ever.
