CONSCIENCE

The awareness of a moral or ethical aspect to one's conduct together with the urge to prefer right over wrong.

CCC:

The inner voice in a man that moves him to do good under any circumstances and to avoid evil by all means. At the same time it is the ability to distinguish the one from the other.

MORAL MATURITY

The measure of a person's cognitive moral development.

CCC:

The morality of human acts depends on:

- the object chosen;

- the end in view or the intention;

- the circumstances of the action.

MORALITY

Principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior.

CCC:

Freedom makes man a moral subject. When he acts deliberately, man is, so to speak, the father of his acts. Human acts, that is, acts that are freely chosen in consequence of a judgment of conscience, can be morally evaluated. They are either good or evil.
