Mitigative measures for control of air pollution from proposed project in view of

existing AAQ

Impacts Mitigation Measures

(During Construction)

Mitigation Measures

(During Operation)

Major impact is due to

transportation of men and

material and exhaust

emission from construction

equipments.

-These activity will result

in emission of SO2, NO2 and

particulate matter.

Impact is due to air

emissions both gaseous and

fugitive from stacks of DG

(vehicle movement.)

Diesel Generator sets will

be the major source of air

pollution as the emission of

SO2, NOx and Hydrocarbons.

DG sets will be used in

emergency case.

Provision of water sprinkling system will

be made along the haul and kuccha road to

let the dust settle and to prevent the spread

of particulate matter in the air.

The construction material cement,

concrete and other required material will be

brought by road in properly covered trucks.

Building material stored and would

covered with tarpine cover

It will be ensured that vehicles are not

overloaded during transportation of

material.

All the vehicles will have proper PUC

certificate entering into the premises.

Preventive maintenance will be done so as

to prevent any leakage and spillage and

thereby reducing the fugitive emission

sources.

The Pollution under Control (PUC)

certification will be ensured for the vehicles

coming in the project premises at regular

basis

The stack will be designed with adequate

height as per the CPCB guideline to aid

dispersion to the point where emissions will

not impact on any receptors or surrounding

around the area.

Energy conservation measures are being

implemented to minimize the load on DG set

during the power failure.

WATER REQUIREMENT

The water will be sourced from Municipal supply. Total water requirement for the project will be

approximately 641 KLD, out of which 452 KLD is fresh water requirement and 189 KLD is treated

water requirement which will be used for flushing and horticulture. The daily water requirement

calculation of Existing phase is given below in Table- 3(a), 3 (b) and 3(c)

STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN DURING CONSTRUCTION PHASE

The proposed project is “Affordable group housing colony at sector-78, Village- Naurangpur,

Gurgaon, Haryana by M/s Revital Reality Pvt ltd” on a land measuring 9.0625 Acres / 36,674.58

m2. The storm water will be managed both during construction & operation phase. Management

plan for construction phase is given below:

The Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan includes a description of the measures to be used

for erosion and sediment controls throughout the construction project. These controls include

stabilization measures for disturbed areas and structural controls to divert runoff and remove

sediment. Erosion and sediment controls are implemented during the construction period to

prevent and/or control the loss of soil from the construction site into the receiving waters.

Selection of the most appropriate erosion and sediment controls depends on a number of factors,

but is most dependent on site conditions. The information collected in the site evaluation, design

and assessment phases is used to select controls.

Some controls which could be used at site are:

Temporary Seeding-Temporary seeding is the planting of fast-growing grasses to hold down

the soils in disturbed areas so that they are less apt to be carried offsite by storm water runoff or

wind.

Permanent seeding-Permanent seeding is the use of permanent vegetation (grass, trees, or

shrubs) to stabilize the soil by holding soil particles in place

Drains: A trench or garland drain is a shallow ditch containing a dominant trough or channel

shaped body. It is used for evacuation of surface water collected during precipitation. Water will

be channelize to the reservoir from where it will be further used for construction activities.

Modeling Methodology:A baseline building as per the requirement of IGBC Green Homes Annexure 1 wasmodeled. The building is simulated with its actual orientation and again after rotating theentire building at 90°, 180°, 270° degrees, then averaging the results to get the IGBC Basecase Building Energy consumption. This building is modeled and simulated in Trace 700,which is capable of processing hourly weather data for whole year.A proposed building with energy efficiency measures for orientation is modeled andcompared with the IGBC Base case Building.
