applications. The through service outletconfiguration enhances rotor cleanoutand makes installation in tight quarterspossible. It is often used for conveyingsticky products in powder and granularform to prevent material build-up in therotor pockets. Side Entry Side discharge model Rotary Air Lock Valve lines are specially designed withoffset inlet and discharge opening to reduce product shearing while maintaining an efficient

product flow in conveying or metering applications.The Valve name derives form the Offset inlet and outlet flanges, where product enters theside of the rotor instead of top.

On a normal valve, shearing takes place asrotor rotates into the housing. When these twoedges meet on a typical drop thru rotary AirLock the product is caught on the upswing ofthe rotor blades so that the product isconstantly filling away from the shear point. Therotor pockets also do not fill completely,reducing the likehood of shearing. Lastly, thethrough out has V shape which helps pushproduct out of the way.

The Quick Clean Rotary Valves arespecially designed for application wherefrequent cleaning, sanitizing or inspectionof the bulk handling system is requiredwith minimum down time. They are alsoideal for batch systems where regularcleaning between cycles is required.

The valve needs no tools to unscrew therelease handles and remove the headplate. Four slide bars with linear bearings,provide maximum support for the rotor. The rotor and head plate can be pulled out andthe valve can be thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and inspected.

Re-assembly is quick and simplied as no special tools are required.
