Lake City Army Ammunition Plant Lake City Army Ammunition Plant conducts contract oversight and provides quality small caliber munitions to the Warfighter and operates the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) test center. Naval Operations Support Center KC This center supports Naval operations. Whiteman AFB Home of the 509th Bomb Wing which operates and maintains the B-2 Bomber, the 442nd Fighter Wing and the 1-135th Assault Helicopter Battalion. Maneuver Training Area Camp Crowder Training site for Missouri and state other National Guard units that is regularly utilized for predeployment training. Springfield Aviation Clasification Repair Depot This depot is operated by the 1107th Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) Missouri Army National Guard. Marine Corps Reserve Support Command KC Provides support to Marine Corps Reserve forces. Wappapello Training Site Training Site is located on United Forestry Service land and has unlimited public access with the exception of the administrative area. Ft. Leonard Wood Home to the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Fort Leonard Wood now trains and educates service members and develops doctrine and capabilities for the Training and Doctrine Command’s U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear School, U.S. Army Engineer School, and U.S. Army Military Police School. Camp Clark Currently used as a training site for the Missouri Army National Guard. During World War II Camp Clark was used as a POW camp for captured German and Italian Prisoners of War.
