New Buffalo Blossomtime HistoryNew Buffalo’s Blossomtime Tradition began in 1926 when Gladys Guhl became the first Miss New Buffalo. The contest was sponsored by the New Buffalo High School, as it was for the next two years when Elsie Eggert Hoder and Ethel O’Connor Gilke won the crown. In 1931 the New Buffalo Women’s Club and Chamber of Commerce took over the local Pageant. When Blossomtime Activities were resumed after World War II, the New Buffalo Blossom Queen Committee was formed. Winners of the New Buffalo title since then were:
