Now that the holiday season is behind us and the New Year has come and gone, it is time to be in full swing into the spring bull and female sales. It is always an exciting time of the year when breeders from across the Southeast and East converge on Jackson, Mississippi. We invite you to be with us this year at the Dixie National Simmental / Simbrah sale on February 8th. The Dixie National is the place to be in Mississippi during the stock show and rodeo. This year is a special year, the 50th Anniversary of the Dixie National. We don’t want anyone to miss out on any of the action. This year’s sale is again sponsored by the Mississippi Simmental/ Simbrah Association with the cooperation of Angus and Red Angus breeders. We appreciate the cooperation and involvement of all the breeders. Don’t forget to inquire about being a part of future sales. As always the sale for the Simmental/ Simbrah, Angus and Red Angus will take place in the Dixie sales arena. Here we will be offering some of the top genetics that will be offered in the South for the spring. We invite all breeders both commercial and seed stock producers to come and view the offering during the week and on display sale day. There will be a diverse offering including opens, bred heifers, bulls, and genetic lots including Simmentals, Simbrah, Sim-Angus, Red Angus, and Angus. There are many highlights in this year’s sale however one to mention is the Pick of fall calf crop from JRW. The Dixie is known for having some great herd sires so come and select your future herd bull. Another highlight this year is the genetics from the past champions at the Dixie. Come early and take a look and get your seat the sales arena fills up fast! This year we have several new consignors and this always has been the only sale at the Dixie National. We feel that there has never been a better time to be in the seed stock business in the state of Mississippi. In our search for Simmental and Sim Angus genetics we selected Sazerac T99 to be one of the main donors to build up a solid foundation for Fenton Farms. This Built Right x Sazerac donor is one Sazerac best daughter and probably is the brood cow of the bunch. We are impressed with her rib, capacity and maternal ability.
