PROJECT LOGOS HOPE

Greetings in Jesus Christ , God called me to follow Him whole hearted - to embrace the plan and purpose fully by faith.

He specifically called me towards the mission field.

At the moment I'm trusting the Lord to provide for the next step He wants me to take and with the help of the church and believers I'm hoping to join O.M Operation Mobilisation Logos Hope Ship that travels internationally sharing the Love of God and taking the Gospel - Good News of Jesus to millions of people around the world . )

This was never my plan or idea but God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours , so I yield and submit to the Almighty . I'm partnering with several individuals and DEO GLORIA Church in Arcadia Pretoria Dr. Joep de Wite , also Pastor Joe Fortuin of Deo Gloria , which Deo Gloria is my sending out church. I go out with their approval and blessing.

The Logos Ship is a 2 year commitment, from 2006 when God first inspired me to missions work , since then I've been hard at work and actively involved with ministries in South Africa , training and equipping me for World missions.

In the beginning of 2012 I completed the MDT (Missions Discipleship Training ) 6 months Compulsory training in preparation to equip me for the Logos Hope Ship , during the MDT I completed several mission trips focused on rural areas , inner city and World faiths (other religions).

For the past 6 years I have been involved with missionary work and God has faithfully been leading and guiding me . It has been a wonderful journey , but also extremely challenging .

Through God's grace I'm partnering with local churches and ministries in Pretoria, all voluntarily , to follow God's calling and living by faith .

What does OM do?Working on every continent and on every ocean (via ocean-going ships), Operation Mobilisation seeks to demonstrate and proclaim the love of God. In every situation OM teams adapt to the local culture and situation, finding the best ways to share Jesus. Through literature, the creative arts, friendship, Bible studies, videos and cassette tapes, correspondence courses, relief and development work, and much, much more… by all means possible we will tell people how our lives have been changed… and how they can meet Jesus. Wherever possible, Operation Mobilisation works in partnership with the local church, encouraging and supporting local believers. Where there is no church… we seek to plant churches

Om’s ships have visited over 470 different ports in more than 150 countries and territories, welcoming a million visitors on board every year since 1970!

KNOWLEDGEVisitors to the book fair can select from over 5,000 titles, covering a wide range of subjects and available at a fraction of their market value. Books are donated to schools, universities and libraries in developing countries.

HELPCrew and staff have undertaken a wide range of aid projects including construction of orphanages, building shelters for victims of natural disasters, providing medical help and distributing emergency supplies.

HOPEThe ship’s international Christian community is a symbol of hope to many. Through events on board, teams on shore and personal interaction, the gospel message of hope in Christ is shared in each port of call.

OM Ships International is a faith mission funded through gifts from around the world and revenue from the onboard book fair. Crew members and staff serve as volunteers, financially supported by their home church, family, friends and others.

A crew and staff of volunteers from all over the world live and work on the ship. Volunteers can serve as little as to two years on board.

Each person works 40 hours a week to keep the ship functioning smoothly. Training during this time includes devotional studies, group discussions, prayes, leadership development and skills development.
