•A missionary is a follower of Jesus who feels God is telling them to share the Gospel with people who have never been taught about Jesus before. Missionaries are everyday people who choose tell others about Jesus in places all around the world. •The word "mission" originated in 1598.(some background info required here)

What Does A Missionary Do?

•Missionaries live in every place that you can imagine. Some live in deserts, some in the jungle, and others in places with tons of ice and snow. But in every place they all are doing the same thing and spreading the word of god.

on the outskirts of Columbus with his mom and dad, who are still in Columbus, and his older brother. He played a lot of different sports and He thinks that’s where he got his inclination to be involved in the community and use his free time to better the life of somebody else.

• God’s call: In the official reasons of becoming missionary, this one stands out. Until and unless a person believes that God has ordered him to be a missionary and help people who need help.

• Self-experience: It can be to learn new skills such as leaderships, to teach others, to learn something we are interested and to try something new and different.

• for a different experience: Just the opposite, if a person has seen so much wealth and luxury in his life time. Support for poor people, people with disability or homeless. So, this person becomes a missionary.

• Experience the other world: people want to learn different cultures and traditional from other countries or they like traveling other countries or they just like helping other people.

• Broken Relationships: Some people just turned into a missionary because they broke with their girlfriend or boyfriend so, they had no ambition or goal left in their life. That’s why they turned into a missionary. ( possible )

• Church’s influence: Church can have a very positive impact on the direction for being a missionary because people can hear about missionary work.

• Upholding family values: Example, “If my dad is a missionary, I am automatically a missionary”, many people just join missionary work for the sake of continuing the family tradition.

• People become missionaries because they want to spread the teachings about God to those who don't know God. They believe that it is a way of serving God. They go to different places just to preach the teachings of Jesus.
