Missing  Person  Charles  J.  Dowd  

Updated  9/19/12    DOB  -­‐3-­‐11-­‐1944  Age:  69  Sex:  Male  Eyes:  Blue  Hair:  Gray  Height:  5’10”  Weight:  175    Missing  from  Amtrak  Train  6  from  Emeryville,  CA  to  Chicago,  IL.    He  was  last  heard  from  on  Thursday,  September  13th  at  6:30pm  MST  when  he  indicated  he  was  on  the  train  leaving  Denver,  CO.    On  Friday,  September  14,  2012  when  the  train  arrived  in  Chicago,  IL  Amtrak  officials  found  his  luggage,  cell  phone  &  medication  in  this  sleeper  car  but  there  was  no  sign  of  Charlie.      His  family  is  concerned  because  he  is  potentially  disoriented  and  may  need  medical  attention.    Updated  9/19/12  Amtrak  disclosed  that  a  passenger  saw  Dowd  near  a  door  of  the  train  approximately  10:00  PM,  Thursday  (9/13/12).  Another  passenger  found  an  exterior  door  ajar  at  approximately  11:00  PM  and  reported  this  to  AMTRAK  staff  in  following  the  morning.      AMTRAK  called  for  Dowd  over  the  loud  speaker  with  no  response  at  approximately  9:30am.  AMTRAK  officials  are  now  saying  that  Dowd  may  have  opened  the  exterior  door  and  fallen  out.  This  would  have  put  the  train’s  location  somewhere  between  Fort  Morgan,  CO  and  McCook,  NE  an  area  with  approximately  160  miles  of  rain  lines.  The  Yuma  County  Sheriff’s  department  is  coordinating  the  search  there.    The  Dowd  Family  is  asking  for  support  and  assistance  from  those  communities  in  that  effort.        If  you  have  seen  Charles  Dowd  please  contact  Amtrak  Police  at  (800)  331-­‐0008  CASE#  12-­‐010695  or  call  his  family  (650)  766-­‐6470.    SHARE  HIS  FACEBOOK  PAGE-­‐MISSING  PERSON  FIND  CHARLIE  DOWD
