CLASSROOM RULES:
1. Attendance is very important. We have a lot to do this year and many different activities planned. It is very important that you are here so that you don’t fall behind. This also includes being in your seat when the bell rings so we can begin class on time.
2. Listen the first time!!! If I do not have to repeat information, we can save valuable learning time. This means NO TALKING when I am talking.
3. Respect classmates and teacher. Be aware of others’ feelings, property and responsibilities.
4. Cell Phones and I-Pods are not allowed in class!!! If used during class, they will be taken away and brought to the principal’s office where a parent can pick them up at the end of the school day.
5. Homework will be given EVERY NIGHT and will be due the next class period unless I specify other directions.
Your homework does not have to be perfect, BUT I must see that you have tried EVERY problem and put forth an acceptable effort.
Your effort on homework will GREATLY affect your grade and overall successin this class. If you are absent, you must bring your homework your first day back.
6. At the end of this year, you will be taking the New York State Common Core Regents Geometry Exam. It is based on all of the material we will cover this year.
I am looking forward to an exciting year working with all of you! Please come and see me if you feel you can’t keep up or have missed something.
It is important that you understand geometry and are able to apply it.
