1 Press Release (immediate release) Miss Chinese International Pageant 2013Gloria Tang from Vancouver was crowned the champion (Hong Kong 24 Feb 2013) The annual beauty contest Miss Chinese International Pageant 2013(MCIP) was held tonight (24 Feb) at TVB City in Hong Kong. 16 beauties from worldwide competed against each other with their beauty and glamour to pursue the title “Miss Chinese International 2013”. Tied to the theme “Beauty revolution”, the beauties showcased their charisma and glamour during the contest. After fierce competition, Gloria Tang Pui Yee from Vancouver stood out and obtained “Miss Chinese International 2013” award! This year, the pageant was hosted by Eric Tsang, Sammy Leung and Sharon Chan. The panel judges were consisted of five members from various professional aspects, including celebrity Dr Jimmy Wong, SBS, JP, Mr Kenneth Ma, Ms Fala Chen, celebrity Mrs Josephine Pang, MH, and Mr Lawrence Cheng. An addition of 21 VIP judges, who were Maria Luisa Leitao De., Jacequlin Ching, Sarah Song, Christine Kuo, Queenie Chu, Oceane Zhu, Koni Lui, Sammy Sum, Lai Lok Yi, Whitney Hui, Tsui Ching Hong, Wong Sum Wai, Chong Wai Kin, Poon Ka Tak, Grace Wong, Tats Lau, Tin Kai Man, Arthur Lam, Henry Lau, Bonita Cheung and Mak Ling Ling, were invited to brought more challenges to the contestants and selected the potential star for the title “Star of Tomorrow Award”. 16 beauties were arranged to dress in gorgeous fashion wear. After the performance delivered by Kelly Cheung, who won the champion of “Miss Chinese International Pageant 2012”, the beauties were introduced and exuded their charisma in evening dresses, custome that was chosen by themselves, swimming suits and colorful youth clothing. They further showcased their wisdom in the Q&A session. In addition, with another grand and energetic dance performance provided by 16 beauties, 5 contestants were finally selected to enter the final round. They were Poppy Chantrarachai Boonyisa (No.2, Bangkok), Carat Cheung Ming Nga (No.5, Hong Kong), Denise Tzushiuan Tan (No. 6, Kuala Lumpur), Jessica Song Qinyi (No.15, Toronto) and Gloria Tang Pui Yee (No.16, Vancouver). 5 finalists unfolded their charm and glamour in delivering 5 distinctive performances to the judges, which were Muay Thai, belly dance, street jazz, peacock dance and rope dance. Their splendid performances had heated up the atmosphere of the competition. After series of tough challenges, the result was finally announced: Gloria Tang Pui Yee (No.16, Vancouver), by her stunning beauty and confidence, was crowned the “Miss Chinese International 2013. Denise Tzushiuan Tan (No.6, Kuala Lumpur), who unfolded her wisdom and eloquence in the Q&A session, received the title first-runner up.
