How can air be a tool, a material and a design process?
The project aims to make air tangible through textiles, to enhance our notion of space, while questioning our perception of material. The Air Momentum implies the concept of transience in the design outcomes and draws upon three research areas:air as a material, as a tool and as a design process.

Recipes for Material Activism explores a low tech approach to the democratization of production. Common tools and ingredients are adapted in the pursuit to create alternative aesthetics and processes for materials and making.
The project is part of the ‘Embodied Energy Series’, an ongoing research initiated by the designer to explore how the energy applied is directly related to the outcome in shape and material. The aim of the series is to research material and people focused processes for sustainable manufacturing.

Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg) and SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, hosted by Dr Hanna de la Motte.
The aim of the short term scientific mission was to map possible leads and developments of scenarios for tangible prototypes for future design applications of regenerated cellulose fibres.

Scoping, reflection, mapping and development of the final design were informed by hands-on applications of the research ideas in the lab and in the design studio.
