All these concepts are expected to be reinforced at home through daily practice. BIG Question: How are people from around the world different and the same? In Unit 2, your child will explore the big question. Your child is invited to think about the ways people are different and the same around the world, at home and in their own communities. Even though people may have differences, we are also alike in several ways. Your child will also read about characters from around the world. MATHEMATICS 1. Vocabulary: ordinal numbers first, second, third, fourth, fifth, 2. Concepts: Recognize and write numbers 0 to 5. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-10. Count by ones from 1 to 50. Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 10 things; given a number from 1-10, count out that many objects.
