We have a Facebook, Twitter and Linked In group page PLEASE CAN MEMBERS TAKE THE TIME OUT TO HAVE LOOK OR CONTRIBUTE Andrew Bickers explained how the group could improve its coverage via social media but it does require all to post and follow various links, posts and likes Consensus seemed to suggest Linked In and Whats App Group are some of our best options as is creating a new facebook page and scraping the old one. Andrew agred to help Andrew Townsend set these up Social media – agreed that as part of this new focus we will have an agenda item where the group get out their phones and activate news and feeds on the meetings events Lee Fisk acknowledged that there are errors on the website and that information has been collated for renewal. Graham Chandler Phelan Construction ISO 45001 transition – our journey Graham Chandler – OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001 Transition

Graham gave a brief overview of Phelans progress of achieving the transition to the new ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Standard including the key changes

ISO 45001 is based on the new ISO high level structure (HLS). For those who have implemented ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards ISO 45001 has a familiar structure and terms, which supports consistency and enables better integration, as well as a more efficient and effective approach to managing business risks. ISO 45001 utilises the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and has drawn on experience from BS OHSAS 18001 In line with good practice expectations, top management leadership of health and safety and worker engagement are significant aspects of ISO 45001, bringing health and safety management and continual improvement into the heart of an organisation.

Colin Wright – Mental Health Resiliance Colin Wright – MD for Britannia Training gave a talk on his view on the stigma surrounding Mental Health and his thoughts on some of the reasons. He expalined that he is not trained in this area, but like everyone else acknowledges the industry and wider society are starting to talk about Mental Health in a more open way. Colin had put some slides together, to to present but to provoke group discussions on many elements either directly or indirectly associated with menatl health, anxiety and depression. The session started with a discussion around general menatl health and society, then movied on to some specifics within the industry and ending on what organisations (both large and small) and line managers / supervisors could do to both avoid creating negative situations / conflict (prevention) and how to better support individuals .

9.0 Any other business There was no other business but the following topic has been left in from previous minutes as a reminder Colin Wright reminded all about the issue affecting Britannia around fraudulent HS&E training certification and Rebecca Brown from Safety Men Training concurred and expalined they too had come across people copying or falsifying their training certification Both encouraged members and others to carry out a simple check by rining the training provider who are more than happy to validate any certificate.
