Transcript of MINNEAPOLIS EARTH DAY CLEAN UP
2020 EARTH DAY
Dear Minneapolis Park Supporter,
We are excited to organize the 26th Annual Earth Day event, the largest volunteer effort in the City of Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Park and
Recreation Board (MPRB) strongly believes in environmental stewardship, part of the MPRB mission is to permanently preserve, protect, maintain,
improve, and enhance its natural resources and parkland for current and future generations. The MPRB has organized Earth Day events with more
than 20,000 Minneapolis residents coming forward to support this important mission. More than 155,000 pounds of garbage have been removed
from our neighborhoods and parks during the annual Earth Day clean up.
The 2020 Earth Day Clean Up, set for Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 am to noon will consist of two components: cleaning up our watersheds and
neighborhoods, and environmental education. There will be an estimated 35 clean up sites throughout Minneapolis. We would love to have you
support our mission of preserving our parks for future generations with a financial contribution, which allows us to provide educational programs
and supplies for volunteers during our Earth Day clean up. Your contribution also provides you with excellent exposure to environmentally minded
citizens and an opportunity to give back to the Minneapolis community and support our beautiful park system. Please see the reverse side for
sponsorship opportunities, thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Erica Chua
