افتتاحه تم ، بجدة للبنات الصحية العلوم كلية في األقسام أحد ً هـ 1413/1414الدراسي العام في

دراسية. فصول سبع القسم هذا في الدراسة مدةالتمهيدية. السنة الثاني و األول الدراسيان الفصالن يمثلفي تخصصية مواد التالية األربعة الدراسية الفصول في تدرس

تكميلية. أخرى و األسنان طبيب مساعدي مجالالمكثف التدريب فترة السابع الفصل يمثل .( االمتياز(اإلنجليزية. باللغة الدراسةمن جانب على متخصصة فنية كوادر تخريج إلى القسم يسعى

حيث األسنان طب مساعدي بمجال للعمل الكفاءة و المهارة بطب المتعلقة األساسية المفاهيم و األسس على الطالبة تتعرف

منها. مناسب قدر توفيراألدوات. وترتيب العيادة تجهيز.4العدوى. مكافحة و المختلفة التعقيم بعمليات القيام.5 يقررها التي العالج خطة تدوين و بالمريض الخاصة البيانات تسجيل.6

الطبيب. باألسنان. الخاصة األشعة تحميض و أخذ.7 لعمليات الالزمة المواد كتحضير العالجية، العملية أثناء الطبيب مساعدة.8

Objectives:General Objectives:

1. Functions as entry-level for professional dental assisting in a variety of health care roles.2. Develops an attitude of concern about human welfare3. Considers the changing needs of society while promoting health within the community4. Strives toward achievement of individual potentials through awareness of personal strengths

and limitations5. Develops a commitment to personal and professional growth through continuing education.

Specific objectives:This program aims to help students to gain different technical skills and provide them with the optimum specific principles in the following areas:-Perform chairside assisting-Record patient assessment data-Perform office procedures-Identify structures, functions and pathologies-Utilize dental instruments and equipments-Perform infection control procedures-Identify dental functions of pharmacology and anesthesia-Perform dental and oral radiographic procedures-Manipulate dental materials-Perform preventive dentistry techniques-Describe legal and ethical responsibilities.
