upcoming Ministry News
Can we borrow your Bible in January 2018? The first five weeks of the new year, we will embark on a
sermon series that wrestles with the Scriptures. During this study, we would like to display a Bible in each room of the
church building and church office. The Bibles will be on placemats, opened to a favorite passage of scripture and labeled with the owner’s name along with a paragraph of why this Bible holds a special meaning to them. We hope these Bibles would be used and read by those who are in the various rooms of our church. If you have a Bible we could borrow, please drop it by the church office today Dec. 24, with the your name, a favorite scripture verse
marked and a paragraph why this Bible is special to you. Please contact Rev. April Cranford if you have any
questions. (Please do not submit Bibles that are fragile or could not be read.) Thank you.
Brown Bag Bible Study January 4 - February 1
Rev. April Cranford will lead a Bible study on Thursdays from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Church Office’ s Faith Room. Beginning January 4 we will focus on the upcoming text
used in Worship. The next sermon series is, Wrestling with the Word. You are invited to bring your Bible and lunch. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor April.

Mission Highlights
To all those who bought, prepared and served food for the WARM shelter last week I want to say,
"Congratulations on a job well done!" You certainly nourished the bodies of all our guests! And we hope
that our caring and visiting with them nourished their souls as well. My heart was touched and my
mind expanded by meeting them, even in such brief encounters. And it is wonderful to see Westminster
join together in this important mission. Thank you! Bobbie Bonar
