28th January 2018 AD MINISTRY MORSEL Australia Day enables us to thank God for the privilege of living in Australia. That privilege ought to move us to share something of the abundance we enjoy. Anglican Aids vision is to excel in the provision of Christian aid to vulnerable communities throughout the world. This includes providing financial resources to train Christian leaders. Awar Orthow Odol has just concluded studies at a Bible College in Ethiopia. A bursary from Australian donors made her study possible. Her desire is to bring people to the new life in Christ she enjoys. Awar is a lay evangelist to many women in various villages in the Gambella region of Ethiopia. She also leads worship in her church and a spiritual enrichment program. Samaila Isa is studying in a Bible college in Nigeria. When he became a Christian he began to evangelise in an Anglican Diocese and is now seeking to grow his biblical knowledge to be more effective in that ministry. Albert Lamoureux, born in Mauritius, living in Sydney, recently returned to Mauritius to sow the word of God in the hearts of people through a local church. From a nominal Catholic background, Albert became a Christian as a teenager and showed gifts as a youth leader. Anglican Aid supported Albert s two year course at Youthworks College. Tawanda Masango currently studies at Moore College with the financial support of Anglican Aid. While at university in his homeland, Zimbabwe, Tawanda was convinced of the value of gospel ministry on campus. Spending a year in Sydney training, he worked three years in Zimbabwe before returning to undertake theological studies. Tawanda and his wife Shupi intend to return to University ministry in Zimbabwe to teach the gospel and train the next generation of church leaders and staff workers during their university years. They have a vision to see Zimbabwe transformed by the gospel, one student at a time.
