A two year process of research and development in highwall pumping operations has resulted in the design and manufacture of the HDS200 dewatering system. The foundations of the HDS200 are based on industry identified needs, requirements and improvements from end users of pumping equipment in the mining indus-try. From all parts of the globe, South Africa, Chile and most importantly Australia, the input from the end user has been a key factor in the final design. This broad range of insight into what was required in a highwall pump has resulted in the most advanced high-wall dewatering system available, capable of delivering 200 litres per second at 100 meter head.

The HDS200 incorporates many innovative and patent pending ideas. The standout feature is the towable design. Operated by hydraulics, the tow hitch slides out from inside the machine chassis, and the independent pivoting bo-gie wheels on the chassis raise the machine from the ground for transport. Another key feature is the twin bogie axles on the wet end cart. Utilizing independent left/right wheels gives increased stability when travers-ing highwall. Furthermore these wheels can be config-ured to be hydraulically driven to provide even more stability and assistance when traversing highwall.
