What is Seedcamp?

• Seedcamp is a programme created to jumpstart the entrepreneurial community in Europe by connecting next generation developers and entrepreneurs with over 400 mentors

• Seedcamp acts as a micro seed fund to invest in startup companies

• Targeted at EMEA’s brightest and most ambitious young entrepreneurs

• Organization dedicated to helping them take risks to create world-beating businesses

Who’s behind it?

• Saul Klein (Founder)Saul is a Partner at Index Ventures and also a Founding Partner of The Accelerator Group. An entrepreneur, seed investor and operator. Most recently he was the co-founder and original CEO at Lovefilm International and part of the executive team at Skype. He started Seedcamp and OpenCoffee Club in 2007 to help support seed and early stage entrepreneurs in Europe.

• Reshma Sohoni (CEO)Reshma runs Seedcamp on a day-to-day basis as its CEO. She joined Seedcamp from the Venture team at 3i. Prior to 3i, Reshma spent over 3 years at Vodafone in their Commercial Strategy team, working across the Europe and Japan footprints in marketing strategy and pricing functions. Reshma started her career in the US in investment banking (Broadview) and venture capital (Softbank).

– 20 best teams selected by panel of VCs

– Invited to come to London for week in September

• Seed funding

– Week long, immersive event in London for winners

– Successful teams surrounded by 150+ exceptional mentors

– Up to 5 teams chosen for €50k funding for 10% equity stake

– Invited to stay a further 3 months in London

• Company development

– Weekly dinners & events to support teams

– Demo day after 6 weeks

– Funding day after 10 weeks

Mon 1st March: OpenCoffee (7-9pm)• networking evening for 100+ people• Jazz Dock, Janackovo nabrezi 2, Prague - Smichov

Tue 2nd March: Mini Seedcamp Prague (9:00am-6:30pm)

• 100 participants – IT entrepreneurs, mentors, media & bloggers

• local finalists get to connect and learn from prominent entrepreneurs, investors, developers and other web technology experts

• the day consists of 5 minute presentations by the teams; panel discussions; and four 1:1 mentoring sessions
