The SAE J1349 standard measures net horsepower with the manufacturer’s production muffler and air cleaner in
place and therefore more closely correlates with the power the operator will experience when using a Honda engine
powered product. The power ratings of the engines indicated in this document are the net power output tested on
a production engine for the engine model and measured in accordance with SAE J1349 at the specified rpm.
Mass production engines may vary from this value. Actual power output for the engine installed in the final
machine will vary depending on numerous factors, including the operation speed of the engine in the application,
environmental conditions, maintenance and other variables.

Full 360°“Any-Side-Up”OperationThe innovative design ofHonda’s Mini 4-Stroke allowsit to be used and stored in anyposition – upright, sideways, even upside down – for a full 360°of usability. An exclusive Honda rotary-slingerlubrication system keeps oil in a completely mistedstate and circulates it using pressure fluctuationsgenerated by the movement of the piston. Built-inpassages effectively return the circulated oil to the oil reservoir from every part of the engine, and an oil return port positioned in the center of the reservoirprevents oil from accidentally flowing into thecombustion chamber.
Robust Power & Quick Throttle ResponseAn efficient new port configuration and large-diametervalves help maximize the power output of the OHCconfiguration for satisfyingly robust performance. A lighter, more rigid valvetrain helps extend theengine’s superior 4-Stroke performance throughout itsentire speed range, while a new carburetor equippedwith an accelerator pump allows consistently fast, easy acceleration.
