Planning

MineRP has a proud history of developing industry leading mine design, planning and scheduling solutions. Designed by mining engineers, for mining engineers, our design and planning solutions have become household names known for their ease of use, efficient operation, and unrivalled integration and optimisation features.

Like a river with two springs, MineRP benefits form a background in developing large, highly controlled and integrated corporate mine planning solutions for globalized mining houses (like CADSmine and MRM) as well as more contained, expert solutions deployable to even the smallest junior mining house (like Mine2-4D, MineCAD and EPS).

The friendly rivalry between our enterprise and expert solutions teams has served to strengthen the solutions portfolio, leading us to thousands of satisfied end-users in more than 55 countries around the globe.

Mine2-4D is MineRP’s premier Mine Planning and Scheduling System for underground and open pit mines. Mine2-4D delivers cost and performance improvements through efficient data and change management, and provides a fully integrated system for engineers to manage the complexity of data from geological, survey and mine design layouts by producing complete and detailed mine plans and schedules. In addition, it has the ability to quickly assess the financial implications of variations in a mine plan.

Mine2-4D can be delivered as part of a complete mine geology and planning system or implemented to complement existing software applications. A major strength of the Mine2-4D system is its ability to integrate directly with EPS, MineRP’s extremely popular production scheduling package. Mine2-4D provides processes that automatically interrogate a geological model using solids, and manage the data for incorporation within the scheduling activities. Allocation of resources, attributes and activities can also be created graphically within the system, leading to a complete 3-dimensional dataset available to schedule the design.

Integrated planning with Mine2-4D, EPS and MineCAD

Mine2-4D is an exclusive trade mark of MineRP and Mine2-4D 2012 will be distributed and supported by MineRP only.

Mine2-4D 2012 is tightly integrated with our MineCAD solution, and bring incredible new features to the table including being certified MineRP Explorer Ready, and extended support for multiple geological solutions.

MineCAD is a CAD package designed exclusively for the minerals industry. The package consists of advanced CAD software that promotes mine design in 3D, and other standard CAD components such as annotation and dimensioning. In addition, it incorporates a Design Manager to manage design projects from Mine2-4D, a Layer Control component to easily manage and manipulate object-oriented design elements, and a plot management component to manage user access, plot versions, history and file archives. With modules for both underground and surface design and presentation, MineCAD supports most mining types and orebody shapes.

MineCAD supports extensive mining-industry-specific plugins and third party interfaces designed to optimize various mining specific tasks. •MineHAUL is designed to calculate truck

fleet requirements in underground or open pit mines. It solves the time consuming task of measuring each haul route distance.

•MineCAVE is a production modelling tool developed to accurately model mate rial flow in both sublevel and block caves.

•MineMARKUP is a computerized survey system that provides real-time information integrated with mine design drawings allowing immediate decisions on face mark-ups and mining directions.

•MineRECON is a survey reconciliation tool used to take Cavity Measuring Survey (CMS) information and automatically generate valid closed solids without manual intervention.

•The Ventsim interface allows the mine design to be imported directly into Ventsim, saving large volumes of work in integrating new and updated mine designs into the 3D ventilation network.

•iRing is a quick, accurate and versatile underground drill and blast package

MineCAD uses WYSIWYG Windows printer drivers for plotting at any scale. Model Space and Paper Space are implemented to allow multiple user-defined Viewports to be placed on the same plot. With its advanced solids rendering (including lighting) of designs, which can be printed at scale, MineCAD provides all the best printing capabilities on the market.

Standard with MineCAD is its ability to import data from multiple design packages, including Datamine, Surpac, Vulcan, Microstation and AutoCAD. MineCAD supports full text and dimensioning capabilities comparable with a standard CAD package.

MineCADSDB takes MineCAD’s integration capabilities even further. Certified to run natively on MineRP SpatialDB, it represents the backbone of the MineRP framework for organizing, drawing, visualizing and securing Enterprise Information from the entire mining value chain.

MineCAD rendered views can be displayed in the MineCAD model space or in the MineORBIT viewer. Visualisations can be generated and published by MineCAD and can be viewed with this freely distributable application. MineORBIT visualisations can contain many data types including text and annotation. Users can toggle layers on and off and alter the transparency of individual layers in the view.

EPS sets the industry standard for mine production scheduling and forecasting and further expands MineRP’s portfolio of robust, integrated solutions.

EPSViz is a unique innovation to mine scheduling. EPSViz provides the ability to link the EPS Gantt schedule with 3D graphical design data to provide dynamic animations of the schedule.

With elected tasks in one application being automatically identified and highlighted in the others, EPS and Mine2-4D users can proceed work completely interactively between the three applications.

Benefits of EPSViz include the ability to:•Interactively select 3D activities so highlighted in

EPS;•Select activities in EPS so highlighted in EPSViz;•Annotate and filter activities, including the ability

to colour code individual activities to allow quick and easy differentiation on a user-defined basis

•Distribute annotated visualisations and schedules to non-licensed users of the software using the free viewer versions available for download from the web;

•Specify tasks as either rate or duration driven•Set target ranges for all user-defined properties

for production planning•Change the rate of a task over time•Record actual start and finish dates, and track

percentage complete for activities•Change the Gantt chart display to show date

bars, cross tab values, or both.

First to include Gantt chart capability with associated time-based table or histogram reports and many familiar project management and scheduling tools, EPS is fully customized to the needs and complex issues of mining operations. The intuitive user interface makes it easy to learn and simple to use.

EPS is packed with outstanding features, such as the ability to:•Modify task period values in the Gantt

Chart interactively – similar to using a spreadsheet

•Dynamically view a 3D visualisation of the schedule using the EPSViz module

•Create user-defined physical properties, such as Tonnage, Meters and grade (such as gold)

•Specify Tasks as either rate or duration driven and assign scheduling constraints, with the ability to vary the rates over time

•Customize the display of tasks and dependencies with coloring, based on user-defined text fields and layers

•Maintain separate scheduling and reporting calendars and report over any time period

•Filter, sort, and group tasks on any field or combination of fields including user-defined text and production fields

•Interactively link tasks (create dependencies)

•Level a schedule based on variable resource availabilities as assigned to specific tasks

•Track actual information for tasks including dates, production fields, and % complete

•Set Baselines for comparison against planned and actual performance

•Report summarized period values using tables or histograms in the Cross tab
