A spring tensioner allows for quick visual inspections to see if the blade has tension.

If there is a gap in the spring coil there is tension. A quick measurement of the line

on the spring can determine if the cleaner blade has optimal tension. Other cleaners

dont oer this feature. Blade tensioning is always guesswork. And having too much

or too little tension has a major impact on cleaning eciency and blade life.

When the MSP Precleaner is installed, the spring is set to a predetermined length

depending upon belt width. is spec is check-marked on a Spring Length Label that

is adhered to the nearby conveyor structure. en any time retensioning is required,

the line on the spring is measured and with a few turns on the adjusting nut, the

blade is brought back to optimal tension.

e faceted prole of the ConShear blade sets it apart from ordinary solid blades.

Conventional blades lose their cleaning edge and become dull and bull-nosed. But

the ConShear blade renews its edge as it wears. e blade forms a new shearing

edge once the wear reaches each new faceted blade section. is insures continuous

cleaning eciency throughout the life of the blade.

e Material Path Blade Option also allows the ConShear blade to conform better to the

belt, especially in the belts material-carrying center section. e blade is sized to span

just the material path and not the entire belt width. is minimizes dierential wearbetween the ends of the blade and the center. Consequently, as the center wears faster

it is not held o the belt by the slower-wearing ends. More conformance means more

consistent cleaning performance.

MSP Precleaners

If a cleaner is not installed properly, it has failed before it begins its job. Mounting a precleaner

on the head pulley can be a difficult job working with space restrictions and with structureand other obstructions in the way. So the cleaner installation must have some options to work

around the problems and still maintain its correct positioning.

Thats why Mineline provides easy-to-follow, illustrated installation instructions that include

specific measurements for the exact location of each cleaner size. And an easy-to-use optional

measurement makes working around obstructions much easier. The MSP Precleaner comes

complete with everything needed for a good installation. Bolt or weld the universal mounting

plates to the conveyor structure. Then slide the pole through the easy-mount hole in the plates.

Attach the blade, adjust the spring tensioner and the job is done.

To change the bl ade, simply pull one

pin, slide out the old blade , and slide

in the new one.

Other Features and Benefits. Quick-change blade. No tools are needed. Just pull one pin, remove the old blade, slide in the

new one and reinsert the pin.

Works with Flexco or other mechanical splices. e spring tensioner quickly moves the blade

away from the belt when a splice passes. e polyurethane blade easily glides over the splice

without damage and with minimal cleaning disruption.

Easy to service. All maintenance work is done from the easy-access side of the beltline. Blade

retensioning and change-out are quick and easy.

Fits most conveyor structures. Available for belt widths from 24" to 72". The MSP Precleaner

poles are extra long (belt width plus 42") to accomodate varying structure widths.
