Mood board choices breakdown • There are some definite and apparent themes running through my ideas and mood

board one of which is the imagery that I am considering using. All of the images involve a well known sports star which can often be seen as an inspirational figure for people and make people want to emulate them. If these people are used to endorse the IRN-BRU 32 product then people who are fans of that person will be more inclined to buy the product therefore increasing sales and awareness of the product. The IRN-BRU colour scheme is even included in a couple of the basketball images with the players wearing orange and blue.

• I have chosen to use the colours blue, silver and orange because they are the colours that are used for the majority of the IRN-BRU products and are instantly recognizable as being part of that company, although a change in colour scheme could improve sales by doing something new it might also hurt sales so it’s best to keep it the same.

• I have chosen the fonts that I have because they are easy to read and will be perfect to advertize the IRN-BRU name and would make it stand out. I think also they would be useful for poster advertisements and magazine layouts if there isn’t large amounts of text on there, however if there is a large body of text maybe a more legible font should be chosen for this to avoid overwhelming the page with blocks of text that seem to merge into one.
