Artist singing song, whilst video is about a girl and boy and the troubles in their relationship.Set in “secret garden” lots of flowers, meadow type scenery.We decided not to use this idea as we decided that It would require a lot of work tofind not one, but 3perfect actors forthe part. Also we couldn’t besure whether or not the audience would understand the concept.

INITIAL IDEAS

Animated video of a couple having to separate.Many different locations, all set in a cartoon world.One scene being the couple sailing on a boat through the universe.Our group however decided not to use this idea, as we realised it would be just too hard to draw all the scenes and then edit them together, especially in the time we had. We also wondered whether the idea would fit the song.

Video set entirely on the beach, artist builds sandcastle, which is destroyed to represent her relationship with her boyfriend. Costume involved white sarong dress and flower crown.We realised that although we really liked this idea, we wouldn’t be able to find a beach in England that would suit our vision for the video.It also became clear to us that having the video set in only one location, would also get boring.

Video consists of many different locations. Main one being in a picturesque park, with ruins of buildings.Main focus on the artist and her persona and performing the song from her experience.We chose to stick with this idea, simply because we decided that the picturesque park would fit in with the mystery and fantasy of the song, but also the buildings would represent the ruins of her relationship.
