This is me, running away from one of the zombies that I was killing while playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies.

And here is the zombie chasing after me

The zombie catches me because I have been playing video games and not exercising so I’m pretty slow.

The zombie begins to eat the first portion of my brain: The Neocortex

The neocortex is responsible for the development of human language, abstract thought, imagination, and consciousness.

Without this part of my brain, I cannot use abstract thought and decision making like I had while playing the game.

I also can’t use my imagination to imagine the zombie being real, like I had in the game. So that must mean this is a real zombie and it’s really eating my brains!

I can’t think of any strategies to help get away from the zombie like I had in the game either.

After the zombie is finished with my neocortex, it moves on to the limbic brain.

The limbic brain can record memories of behaviors that produce agreeable and disagreable experiences.

This part of the brain is responsible for emotions and helps us make choices based on judgments we make often unconsciously.

I used this section of my brain while playing the game to navigate through the maps and remember where certain weapons are.

Reflexes are also important, and being able to make instant decisions as well as use the game controller with little conscious thought.

Many emotions are experienced while playing the game, including fear, adrenaline, joy, and anger.

Now that the limbic system of my brain is pretty much eaten, I cant feel emotions, and I can’t make unconscious decisions based on pleasurable or non pleasurable outcomes.

Now all that’s left is the reptilian brain!

The reptilian brain is responsible for the control of the bodies vital functions such as heart rate, breathing, body temperature, and balance.

The reptilian brain tends to be somewhat rigid and compulsive.

While playing the game, my body’s vital functions were working just great which means my reptilian brain must have been in tact!

So all that’s left of my brain is a rigid, compulive section that controls basic body functions in order to live. I cannot feel and I cannot think. So that must mean…….
