Highlight of Mid-amble Design

• Reuse-1 mid-amble• Mid-amble frequency structure

– Tone rotation per sub-band to avoid periodicity per antenna

• Mid-amble sequence– Golay Hadamard sequence– 2dB boosting

• Mid-amble position– Fixed second sub-frame to allow enough time for MS

processing

Midamble Frequency Structure

• Mid-amble should avoid similar structure as 16m P-preamble and 16e preamble– Low mis-detection is both auto-correlation type

receiver and cross-correlation type receiver

– Work with any channel statistics

• Solution: Tone rotation per sub-band to avoid periodicity per antenna
